Earlier this year Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was accused of child abuse and indicted in September on a felony charge. The injury to a child charge was filed when it was established that Peterson used wooden switch when disciplining his four-year-old son. The hash discipline left bruising to the child’s thighs, back and on one of his testicles. The Minnesota Vikings ruled yesterday by suspending Adrian Peterson without pay, for the rest of the NFL season due to the pending child abuse case. The NFL announced that; "Minnesota Vikings star running back would not be considered for reinstatement before April 15, 2015, for violating the league's personal conduct policy.” Peterson was made aware of the ruling through a letter from Commissioner Roger Goodell first before the ruling went public. With the leagued enhancing it’s disciplinary policy, this ruling is no shock to most. There’s still hope for Peterson, who has another ruling pending. He plans to appeal this decision.
