The Australian rapper song Fancy stands as the longest-reigning No. 1 single by a female rapper. She also joined the Beatles as ‘the only artists to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 hits’ via Billboard. She won her first award at the American Music Awards 2014 against some strong male Hip Hop competitors.
Her People Choice Award, last night probably meant the most because it had Nicki Minaj who before Iggy has been running the rap game for a while, in the category. Nicki is the most successful female rapper out at the moment. To win against her brought Iggy validation. Jay - Z and Drake was also in the category. She’s now looking forward to the Grammys next month where she’s nominated for four awards.

It was nice to see all the love and respect for Iggy. As she took to the stage, the entire audience stood up and stayed standing until she was done.
She performed her new single Beg For It and did an excellent job. She was sensual, sexy and left a lot to the imagination in her outfit although formfitting, which I believe boy Nick Young of the LA Lakers appreciates.
The Australian rapper receives so much love because of her strength. As you can see from the images in the collage above, Iggy is a layback, no make wearing if not performing or on a red carpet, type of woman. She is comfortable in her skin and is not afraid to leave the house this way. The cyber bullying from people and celebrities have been hash. Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg/Lion compared her to one of the characters from the very funny 2004 movie: White Chicks. Starring brothers, Marlon and Shawn Wayans and another meme in the image attached. Snoop later apologized for his actions. Rapper Q-Tipp also took time out of his life to Tweet Iggy a series of Hip Hop history lessons. Rapper, Azalea Banks have also been very vocal about her hatred toward Iggy. One thing have remained constant, Iggy's strength. I find it interesting that African American wants equality, but bash this woman who’s only expressing herself artistically through Hip Hop. She’s been called every name in the book, but have continue to persevered through it all.
Other winners of the night included actress Viola Davis, The Big bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy and more.
