Walking In His Purpose: Safaree Samuels Interview About His Past Relationship & New Beginnings Back Home In Jamaica
Safaree Samuels is an American rapper of Jamaican descent. He started his rap career apart of a group, but was introduced to the world due to his relationship with former girlfriend Nicki Minaj. He is now an independent artist making a name for himself. With a successful Mix-tape It Is What It Is under his belt, a humble and "go getter" spirit, his perseverance and a strong fan base he named "StuntGang," Samuels is unstoppable.

Although their inner circle and fans knew they were an item, Minaj never publicly claimed Samuels until they broke up. Samuel did a sit down interview with The Breakfasts Club a while ago after the breakup and told the morning show that, he left the relationship after years of feeling like he was the help and not her man.
Minaj quickly moved on with rapper Meek Mill. Mill has been extremely disrespectful to Samuels since becoming involved with Minaj. He made a video a while ago about wanting to be with Minaj, while she was in a relationship with Samuels. He have her, had the number one album in the country, was on a very successful tour with the woman he claimed he love, so many are confuse why is he checking for the other man if he's happy. The same question is being asked to Minaj because she has spoken not so pleasantly about her ex. Their actions led Samuels to release Lifeline, a song in response to his ex and her current man. Samuels did a sit down interview with one of Jamaica's biggest and best entertainment shows, On Stage TV, with Winford Williams. In the interview below, Samuels explained how he met Minaj while in the group, The hood Stars and started a relationship a little over a year after being in the group. When the group broke up, Minaj decided to start her solo career. She loved the energy he brought to the stage and asked him to be her "Hype-man." He was for years and helped with her career until the end of their long relationship.
During the interview, Samuels discussed his start in music. He talked about his father playing music and entertaining local artists was the start and helped fueled his passion for music. He talked about his summers in Jamaica while growing up and his career currently. Samuels also spoke about finally standing up for himself against all the constant and not so pleasant things Minaj and current man, rapper Meek Mill have said about him. He said that his song Lifeline might have worked because they stopped bothering him and if that did not work, he would have released something that would have been explosive.
