Nicki Minaj brother Jelani got married yesterday and she posted images and videos at the celebration, with her mom, brother and other family members.
While at the wedding or after the wedding, a few not so pleased followers made comments about Minaj hair. Normally celebrities do not take time out of their busy and blessed lives to respond to negativity, but the new social media age, has changed all that. Minaj responded to a few of the "non-fans" and decided on a method that she felt would put an end to people coming on her page and leaving unpleasant remarks. She started to post images of the young ladies who made those comments. See the images below.
The problem is, Minaj has over 30 million followers. She called them her "Barbz" They visited those young ladies pages and left disgusting remarks, going as far as leaving death threats. A few of the ladies had to delete all images on their profile to stop the hateful comments. I decided to block out their names and added a partial block on their faces. I also decided not to post the nasty comments left. Many are wondering what has happened to Minaj, that she is skipping all the positive comments and love she received from her fans daily and responding to negativity. She responded in a few Tweets below.
All parties involved are wrong. I guess this will be a lesson learned by these young women. Do not visit others pages, leaving hateful comments and expect nothing in return. They're humans too and they all cannot be Beyoncé who doesn't even acknowledged such behavior. Minaj non-supporters have found a different way to leave hateful comments without facing the wrath as those previous ladies. They are creating fake pages without their name or image. They're also changing their names, profile pictures on their regular pages and setting their page to private before making a rude comment to aviod public humiliation. Minaj is too blessed to allow non-supporters to affect her this way. People will always have something to say about you no matter how amazing you are. Learning how to enjoy the good, while ignoring negativity will bring peace of mind. I hope she finds that balance.
